How Does the Guarantee Work?
- A certified Nu-Wool WALLSEAL dealer installs Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation into your new house.
- Key characteristics are entered into a computer program that calculates heating loads and the cost of heating based on fuel, weather data, efficiency of the heating system, and the air infiltration factor for the specific house at no additional cost to the homeowner or builder.
- You will receive your guaranteed amount that outlines your estimated yearly heating and cooling bill.
- At the end of the year, compare your actual energy bills to our estimate. If you paid more than our estimate, Nu-Wool Co., Inc. will reimburse the homeowner 50% of the overage. Simply contact Technical Services by emailing rdevries@nuwool.com.
Under this program, the heating and/or cooling bills are guaranteed for a period of ten years. Â Plus, the guarantee is transferable if the home is sold. Â
The computations used for the guaranteed amount reflect real world insulation effectiveness. If only R-Values were used in the computations, homes with Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation would not heat or cool any differently than homes with fiberglass insulation. However, because it reduces air infiltration, Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation has a higher “Effective R-Value.” As a result, Nu-Wool insulated houses heat and cool more efficiently.
